Quiet Moments of Comfort »
Dear Hospice Administrator and/or Chaplain:
I began playing the piano at the young age of four. While I could not have known then the exact path my musical career would take, I knew that music was the way I would touch the lives of those around me. As I matured and entered adulthood, I found that in every walk of life, people everywhere want and need a source of peace and comfort, and music fills this need.
In 2002, my mother was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure. She fought her illness courageously, never complaining and manifesting an inner strength that could only have come from God. Mother went to be with the Lord on January 14, 2004, and my life will never be the same. Before she passed away, she gave me the highest compliment I will ever receive in this lifetime; she told me that my Quiet Moments of Comfort CD brought her peace and eased her pain. She would play Quiet Moments 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and I watched as it brought amazing comfort to her each and every day. Since her passing I have embarked upon a ministry of carrying my music to others in similar situations.
Hospice was a great help to us during those difficult years and now I feel like I have something to offer in return; the gift of music therapy. Quiet Moments of Comfort is a gift you can give to your patients that will minister to them and their caregivers time and time again.
Thank you in advance for any time and consideration you may give this endeavor.
